4 BEST AREAS TO MOVE TO IN THE COSTA DEL SOL
What are the best areas to move to in the Costa del Sol?
Today we want to show you the 4 best areas to move to at the Costa del Sol. We recently went over why the Costa del Sol is the best place to live in Spain, but now we want to go a little deeper into the topic.
Considering where to move to in Spain can be a complicated decision since the country has various popular areas that seem similar from the outside, but in reality, they differ quite a bit. That’s why we thought we help you with this overview.
Let’s get into it:
Marbella
Here at MK Estates we are massive fans of the Marbella | Nueva Andalucía | Puerto Banús area because we believe that it offers people from the North of Europe exactly what they want when they consider moving to the South of Spain. The first thing people notice when they visit Marbella is the exceptional weather that we have throughout nearly all of the year, with lovely warm temperatures from April until the end of October most years.
It’s known that Marbella is the town if you’re looking for high-end luxury, from massive villas in Nueva Andalucía to beautiful apartments close to the port of Puerto Banús; it’s 100% one of the 4 best areas to move to in the Costa del Sol and the place to be if you want to go full out and start a life full of indulgence and frill.
We’ve got 4 Words for you: The beaches in Marbella. Marbella is our number one option because of the quality and variety of the area’s beaches. There are 23 beaches on Marbella’s more than 27kms of coastline. It’s also important to note that they are considered some of the cleanest and well-kept beaches on the coast. Plus the food served in the chiringuitos is some of the most delicious you can find and you’ve got a real winner.
Fuengirola
If you’re thinking of moving to the Costa del Sol and aren’t sure where we would advise Fuengirola. It is one of the most varied areas that has a lot to offer. If you have children and you’re looking for a nice and calm area that’s close to quality schools, Fuengirola is a great option.
The city is famous mostly for its relaxed way of living. Fuengirola is a coastal town that’s been a touristic destination for the last few decades due to a large number of lovely beaches, gastronomic options and cultural aspects of the city.
Apart from everything listed above, living in Fuengirola, is a very affordable option be it for purchasing a property or for the general cost of living.
Mijas Costa
Mijas Costa is rapidly becoming one of the most attractive areas to move to on the Costa del Sol. This is due to the area offering many of the benefits that Marbella and Fuengirola have but with an added calm nature to the zone. The key location in Mijas Costa is definitely La Cala de Mijas, which is one of the areas that’s growing at a higher rate.
There’s a reason why La Cala is so popular and that’s because it has everything that you could wish for if you’re thinking of relocating to Spain.
If you’re starting a new life in Spain with children we believe that Mijas Costa is definitely the place to live because, as we’ve said, it’s much calmer and relaxed than the centre of Marbella for example and, in the future, it’s clear that it’s going to continue growing. The shops, restaurants and activities will also increase, making it one of the best places to live in Malaga.
Mijas Costa has a lot of great rural areas close to the sea if you’re looking for eco-living in Spain.
Torremolinos
About 10 minutes by car from the centre of Malaga there is Torremolinos, another key location for British and European families at the Costa del Sol.
From quiet gated residential areas to fun and active apartments next to the beach, no matter what your intentions or objectives are in Spain, Torremolinos is a great place to start over.
With prices that vary from 180.000€ to various millions, the offers are incredibly wide and different. Here at MK Estates, we have a portfolio of more than 18.000 properties we know we have the just the right Torremolinos property for you.
